In this installment of Psychedelica Lex, I present a video letter to the Psychedelic Bar Association’s Law and Regulatory Committee (LARC).
My topic is consideration of employing gatekeepers in the form of licensing users, as one potential pathway in the work LARC is doing on drafting a model uniform plant and fungi medicine act. I hypothecate that this structure might prove the most palatable option to a legislature or to the voting public. As our work on a model law ultimately will have to be placed into the hands of a legislature or a political campaign, it seems (to me) an “opt-in” model would receive the least resistance. For now, it is all theory.
What do you think? I would love to hear from you.
